How we work
The services we provide are varied, but our approach to solving problems is consistent: Do the research, ask a lot of questions, listen to the answers, establish an appropriate plan of action, and, above all, always determine what something should do before thinking about what it should look like. Together, we come up with a solution that is direct, appropriate and memorable. This approach has worked well.
We Believe:
- That companies are judged by what they say, how they look and the way they behave. (We can help with the first two; the rest is up to you.)
- That everyone can choose their attitude.
- That you should decide what a design should do before you start to think about what it should look like.
- That listening is usually more important than talking.
- That the person who has the authority to approve a project must be part of the process from beginning to end. Otherwise everyone’s in trouble.
- That chocolate is the best flavor. Others are good, but chocolate is king, and the power of vanilla even makes chocolate taste better.
- That respect is a 2-way street.
- That people are smart, and we design for that. We hate being asked to dumb down stuff to make sure everyone will get it. There’s too much dumb stuff out there already.
- That whatever you put into the lives of others comes back, but more abundantly.
- That there is always, always something to be grateful for.
- That a designer who doesn’t uze a proofreeder is crazy. (Yes, the misspelling was deliberate.)
